4 days Tanzania Safari Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater

 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will meet your guide for a brief orientation. After breakfast in Arusha, set off for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. 

Enjoy a full day of game drives, where you can spot various wildlife, including lions, giraffes, and wildebeest. After a day of exploration, head to your mid-range lodge or campsite for dinner and relaxation, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. The drive takes about 3-4 hours, and you can enjoy scenic views along the way.

Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive in the Serengeti. Keep an eye out for the Big Five and other wildlife as you explore the vast savannah. In the evening, settle into your lodge or campsite for dinner and a restful night under the stars.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Rise early for a morning game drive, experiencing the park as the sun rises and animals become active. After breakfast, continue your exploration with a full day of game drives, allowing you to witness the incredible diversity of wildlife.

Consider a picnic lunch in the park to maximize your time in the field. In the late afternoon, you may have the option for a hot air balloon ride (additional cost) to see the Serengeti from above. Return to your lodge for dinner and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater & Departure

On your final day, depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, and descending into the crater reveals a unique ecosystem filled with wildlife.

Enjoy a game drive within the crater, where you can spot elephants, lions, and the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, ascend back to the rim and return to Arusha.

You will arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon, where you can transfer to the airport for your departure or extend your stay to explore more of Tanzania.
