Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for breakfast and an orientation. Afterward, set off for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot lions, zebras, and a variety of bird species. In the evening, check in to your mid-range lodge or campsite, where you can enjoy dinner and relax while listening to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Tarangire, taking in the beauty of the park before heading to Lake Manyara National Park. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, offering scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara, known for its diverse ecosystems and large flocks of flamingos. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, hippos, and a rich variety of birdlife. In the evening, settle into your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations. The drive takes about 4 hours, with opportunities for scenic stops along the way. Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive in the Serengeti, exploring its vast savannahs and searching for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and the Big Five. In the evening, check in to your lodge or campsite for dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Start your day early with a morning game drive, experiencing the Serengeti at dawn when wildlife is most active. Return to your lodge for breakfast, then enjoy a full day of exploration in the park. Pack a picnic lunch to maximize your time in the field. Continue your game drives throughout the day, taking in the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. In the late afternoon, consider an optional hot air balloon ride (additional cost) for a unique perspective of the Serengeti from above. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, and as you descend into the crater, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking landscape filled with wildlife. Spend the day on a game drive within the crater, where you can spot elephants, lions, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning scenery. After a day of exploration, ascend back to the rim and head to your lodge near the crater for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Arusha & Departure

On your final day, you may have the opportunity for a morning activity or leisurely breakfast before departing for Arusha. The drive takes about 2 hours, allowing for scenic views as you return. Once in Arusha, depending on your flight schedule, you can transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure or extend your stay in Tanzania to explore more of this incredible country.
