7 Days Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for breakfast and an orientation. Afterward, embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you may spot lions, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. In the evening, check in to your mid-range lodge or campsite for dinner and relaxation amidst the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire to capture any wildlife you may have missed. Then, set off for Serengeti National Park, a journey that takes about 3-4 hours with scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive in the Serengeti. Explore the vast plains and keep an eye out for the Big Five. In the evening, check in to your lodge or campsite for dinner and a peaceful night in the heart of the park.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive, experiencing the Serengeti at dawn. After breakfast at your lodge, head out for a full day of exploration. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park, maximizing your time among the wildlife. Continue to search for diverse species, including lions, elephants, and cheetahs. In the late afternoon, consider an optional hot air balloon ride (additional cost) for a spectacular view of the Serengeti from above. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Another Day in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy another full day of game drives in the Serengeti. The early morning and late afternoon are prime times for wildlife viewing. After breakfast, venture into different areas of the park to explore various ecosystems and landscapes. You can also choose to visit a Maasai village (optional) to learn about their culture and traditions. Return to your lodge for dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The drive takes about 3-4 hours, with scenic stops along the way. Once at the crater, descend into its unique ecosystem for a full day of wildlife viewing. Spot elephants, lions, and the endangered black rhino while enjoying a picnic lunch amidst stunning landscapes. In the late afternoon, ascend back to the rim and head to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush vegetation and diverse wildlife. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, with beautiful views along the way. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara, where you can see tree-climbing lions, hippos, and numerous bird species. After a day of exploration, check in to your accommodation for dinner and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Day 7: Lake Manyara to Arusha & Departure

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and possibly a morning activity or game drive in Lake Manyara, depending on your flight schedule. Afterward, drive back to Arusha, which takes about 2 hours. Once in Arusha, you can transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure or choose to extend your stay in Tanzania to explore more of this incredible country.
